Not Enough Champagne

Come for the political analysis, stay for the bad jokes and wrong predictions. Not Enough Champagne is run by Steve Haynes, who in a previous life was a Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats, and Cory Hazlehurst, a Labour activist who has written about politics for the New Statesman. We try to work out what the hell is going on with British Politics and take a step back to shed new light on issues most news outlets don't talk about.

Will Labour be able to mobilise Momentum (with a small and a big "M") to maximise turnout? Just how bad a night will the Conservatives have? And what is being trialled in various council elections? Listen to find out.

In our very first episode, we talked about whether referendums were a good policy-making tool. Two years and one hundred episodes later, we return to the issue and discuss the idea of many Remain campaigners that there should be a second referendum on Brexit. This seems to be the main idea to stop Britain from leaving the EU - but is this a good idea?

Steve and Cory discuss the prospect of a third party breaking the two-party grip on British Politics. After yet another centre party is launched and UKIP look for yet another leader, we talk about their chances for success. We also mention the possibility of a Green or Lib Dem revival
